The content SASHA discusses can be triggering to some individuals so here are a range of resources catered to a range of groups. They range from local services to national organisations that provide either specific support for those who have experienced sexual violence, counselling or safe support groups. Whether you require them or you might know a friend who does, being aware of these resources can be useful for every person!

Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL)

A rape crisis centre and charity, that helps all women and girls affected by sexual violence.

Provide a range of specialist services to survivors, including counselling, helplines and support for women, men and non-binary people.

Helpline provides a safe space for LGBT+ people with support and information,  and confidentiality from volunteers who identity as LGBT+.

An Anti-abuse LGBTQ Charity supports LGBTQ+ people who have experienced sexual violence and abuse, such as domestic violence.

A community based initiative organised by volunteers and supported by Leeds City Council, British Transport Police and West Yorkshire Police.

Safe Taxi Scheme

Amber Cars work in partnership with the University providing a 24/7 service for those in vulnerable situations E.G. walking home alone, having no money or means of getting home.

It ensures you have a safe ride home, even if you don't have the money for a taxi fare on you. Leeds University SU will pay the fare if you settle it with them within 48 hours!

Offers medical assessment/treatment, a forensic examination and aftercare for survivors of sexual violence in Leeds.

Specialises in providing culturally sensitive support to black, Asian and minoritised women/girls - run by women from similar backgrounds.
